RoyalMills.net was setup by James Fox who now lives in the McConnel building within the new development.
James developed a community website for his home town of Lymm in Cheshire, (see: www.lymm.net) and after its 9 year success he decided to replicate the community website for his new home at Royal Mills.
This website was launched on 1st March 2006 aiming to be a great community website for the new Royal Mills apartments.

About Royal Mills
Royal Mills used to a cotton mill for 170 years and was previously known as 'Ancoats Mills'.
King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visited the mills in 1942 and the old mill was renamed 'Royal Mill' in their honour.
The mill finally closed in 1959 leaving the building to be on Manchester's 'At risk' register in 2001.
ING Real Estate took over the building in 2003 and annouced a £65 million preservation plan to restore the Royal Mills complex featuring a mixture of shops, offices and leisure outlets.
Today the development is still in progress but the future is bright for Royal Mills as much of the development will be complete this year.
